Mechad Brooks is joining the upcoming season of Law & Order as a detective.
Not much more is known about his role, which in part is being added to fill the gap left by the exiting Anthony Anderson.
The new season will also include original star Sam Waterston, who recently closed a deal to return to the series, as well as Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
Brook's most recent television role was as playing Jimmy Olsen on The CW’s Supergirl for six seasons.
