AllYourScreens Wins National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award

On Sunday evening, AllYourScreens won the award for "Best Entertainment Blog by an Individual Not Tied to an Organization" at the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards, hosted by the L.A. Press Club.

The ceremony was held at the Millennium Biltmore, where the L.A. Press Club also hosts the SoCal Journalism Awards each July.

Last year, AllYourScreens founder Rick Ellis was the winner last year of the David Robb Award for Best Investigative Civil Justice Story for his reporting on Matthew Feeney, a Minnesota-based teen acting coach who pled guilty to sexually abusing several of his clients.

In a statement acknowledging this win, Ellis thanked the judges and congratulated the other nominees in the category. "As a small, independent entertainment news outlet, it can be difficult to get attention in the industry, " said Ellis. "This win means more than I can say and I think it's a reflection of the hard work being done by all of the nominees in this category."

Honorary awards were given out during the ceremony to Paul Anka (the Legend Award), Larry Mantle (the Luminary Award), Marlee Matlin (the Impact Award), Kasi Lemmons (the Distinguished Storyteller Award) and Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen (the Visionary Award).
